Choice: An exploration of culture, context and trends

Through our own research and close connection to our international online communities, we have observed the global megatrend ‘choice overload’ manifesting differently in markets and cultures around the world. Given our choices are so fundamental to our consumption habits, we thought it was important to explore this in more detail.

Today, we are excited to launch our full Choice report, which brings together our global findings. The report deep dives into the cultural nuances of ‘choice’ in the UK, USA, Germany, Mexico and China, to answer the question of what choice and ‘choice overload’ means to consumers in each country, and what challenges and opportunities this creates for brands. Brands need to recognise these differences to help consumers navigate choice and connect in a meaningful way.
